We had a fun birthday for Rob this year. We had dinner with his family at Ruby River then back at our house for ice cream and cake with friends.

Siena's Korean Dol Dress (1st Birthday Celebration)

So back in October Rob was able to go to Korea for work. While he was there his co-workers learned that we had just had Siena a few months before then and before he left they were so nice and gave us this Korean Dress for Siena, when she turned 1. I went on and read about it and apparently, Dol is celebrated for the first birthday of a child. When Korea had little medicinal knowledge, many newborns would die from childhood diseases so when a child lived to be a year old during that period, it was a very joyous occasion. (this was taken straight out of wiki.....Lbh I am not that eloquent in speaking) So we decided to put Siena in the dress they gave us and send them pictures so I thought I'd share them. She is so freaking cute and I know she is my daughter but she is BEAUTIFUL....

Happy Birthday Siena! Siena had her 1st birthday last week and we had an awesome party!! My little pumpkin is obsessed with Sesame Street. I honestly dont even remember how she first started watching it. I think it had something to do with my mom putting it on, Anyway she LOVES it to say the least. I feel like I neglect her sometimes cause if I am cleaning or needing to get ready its so easy to put it on and she is in Heaven!!! So with this LOVE of Sesame Street I thought for her first birthday we would do a Sesame Street Birthday Party! It turned out amazing and I couldn't have asked for it to go better. Here are some pics of the day!!

Happy Birthday America!!!
We had a wonderful 4th of July! Our neighborhood had a block party with a BBQ and fireworks! Just like in the Sandlot! We had a great time even with the rain! These are the only pictures I have from that night. One taken by me and the other taken by an experienced photographer with a nice camera but I wanted to post them both!I do have to give credit to Lindsey for her amazing photography skills!! Mother's Day

The last few Mother’s days have been hard for me always wanting to be a mother and not having that…… but this year I am so happy, and grateful that I can finally have the Mother’s Day I have always wished for.

I just wanted to express my gratitude for my little princess Siena. I am so so so grateful for her and for the chance to be her mother.

I love being able to watch her grow, learn and see everything through her eyes. She is such a joy in my (and Rob’s) lives I am having a hard time expressing it in words. I still can’t believe how big she is getting. 10 months old already and I feel like I had her yesterday.

Motherhood really is the most amazing and rewarding thing and I am so thankful the Lord has blessed me with this opportunity. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day and realize how blessed you are to have those little ones (or used to be little ones) in your lives.

Staycation....

Rob and I took a little vacation at home this week. It was so nice to have Rob home all week! He got to spend a lot of time with Siena and she is already turning into a Daddy's Girl!! We went shopping up on Park City and took Siena to the Zoo for the first time and ate out practically every night! It was a nice relaxing week and I am sad to see it end. Here are some pics of us at the zoo.

So I have been having fun (most of the time) making cakes lately. I made one for Maddie's (my niece) birthday and then my Friend Leslie's 30th and my brother in law. I tried to do one ALL out of fondant but I havent mastered that yet so I have just ended up doing buttercream for them. Although, during my quest for recipes I found this AMAZING recipe for Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.....YUMMM

1/2 cup butter

1/4 cup shortening

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 cups confectioners' sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 cup hot fudge topping

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

1. Cream together the butter or margarine with the shortening.

2. Sift the cocoa with the confectioners' sugar and add to the creamed mixture. Mix together adding 1 tablespoon at a time of milk to keep mixture smooth. Don't add more than 1/4 cup of milk.

3. Add the hot fudge topping and the vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Anyway I thought I'd share the recipe and show some of the cakes I've been ~~eating~~ making….

I LOVE Valentines Day!! I always have loved this holiday but its so much better when you have an amazing husband and the best little girl in the world. We started the day with a LOVE breakfast I made especially for Rob……

Then he went off to work and I had a fun day with Siena. We had a Valentine party with some friends from our ward, I didn’t get any pictures because LBH Siena just sat there the whole time, not much of a party animal at 7 months. But she did give out the cutest Valentines with suckers attached to them.

Then we came home and gave Siena her presents…… I found the old school Care Bear DVD’s on amazon. I was so excited to find these and ordered them for Siena. I LOVED them as a little girl and hope she will like them as much as I did. She also got a Love Monkey that she adores, some V day pajamas and a little I love you book

Later on that night Rob came home from work and we exchanged gifts and went out to Benihanas with our good friends the Moss. There was more bromancing than romancing going on on this Valentines Date. Everyone at the table was laughing at us because Les and I sat next to eachother and Joe and Rob sat next to eachother…… Now that’s LOVE!!!!!

We had a wonderful holiday and I always want Rob and Siena to know how much I LOVE them!!!

Rob and I didn't dress up this year. It was hard Rob had just gotten home from his trip to Japan/Korea. (the day of Halloween) SO lets hope next year we get into the spirit. But we did have the cutest little Tootsie Roll anyone has ever seen!!

We had Siena's blessing on September 6th. It was such a great day to be able to celebrate Siena with our friends and family. Rob gave Siena a wonderful blessing and I am so grateful for this little peanut. She is just wonderful.We had a nice lunch over at our clubhouse where it was packed!!! I am so thankful for all of you who came out to spend this special day with us. My amazingly talented friend Laurie made Siena her blessing dress and it turned out EXACTLY how I wanted it.

So I've contemplated quitting the blog all together I am SO behind and its not just with little stupid things, I freaking had my baby, but as I was going through blogs I really want to have Siena's milestones on here and be able to remember the "little" things that she does so I don't even know how to start but I will try anyway......

And boy was that a day! It started out as me exactly 40 weeks pregnant going in for my weekly appointment with Dr. England! At this point I have had ZERO contractions and I was planning on having her on my induction date of July 12. Well like I said I was going in for my appointment and as I am getting my blood pressure checked I hear a Ding, Ding, Ding from the machine. Now this is not odd for me pretty much every visit since I was about 25 weeks along my blood pressure had been high so I go in and lie down so the nurse can re-check in in 10 minuets. Well Dr. England comes in instead and checks me. As usual I am ZERO everything!! He talks to me about my blood pressure but as usual just wants them to re-check me after I lie down but makes sure that I for sure give them a urine sample. So 10 min after a nurse walks in and checks my BP and its even higher!!! SO I run in to the bathroom to give my sample and it comes back that I have protein in my urine so back to waiting for Dr. England again. He comes in and starts talking to me about pre-clampsia that I have and tells me that he wants to go ahead and induce me TODAY!!! But advises me that it will be a LONG labor. I am excited and nervous at the same time but then I think. I cant have my baby today my hair is a mess(LBH it was curly and on day 3) and my kitchen is messy etc, etc, etc. SO I ask, can I go home and shower first? He tells me to come back to the Hospital and check in at 2. So I run home call Rob on the way and tell him we are having her today!! I shower, clean my kitchen get ready and at 2:00p.m we walk into the hospital to check in. First they gave me some medicine before they start me with the pictosin and I am just lying there hooked up to the machines relaxing. And to make a long story short, Siena was not handling the labor well. I had not even really started to go into labor and her heart rate kept on dropping so Dr. England told me we were going to have an emergency C-section. So here we are getting ready for the surgery

Well I am now averaging about 1 post every 4 months ..... so here we go! I am glad to say I am finished with Siena's room with 1 week to spare! (Well I am still waiting on pictures of my little peanut but that will obviously have to wait until she is out!) I LOVE how her room turned out. At first I was a little worried that it would be too bright but I love it! My neighbor (a male) said that it looked like Fidelity's Logo but that was before I got all my cute accents in there and they totally make the room! Rob was so nice to not really say no to anything( He knows this was as much for me as it is for Siena)Now I am not meaning I went overboard or anything I used to be an avid couponer..... I am just grateful he was so good to me about everything we HAD to get for our little girl! HA HA
So here are the pics I have.......

This chair was a gift from my parents and let me tell you how awesome it is!! It is so comfortable I cant even believe it! I am going to love rocking my baby to sleep and it will make those midnight and early morning feedings that much easier.

You can't tell from the picture but the window treatments have little baby pink polkadots on them. They are so freaking cute and totally made the room!

On this blank wall of to the side of the crib is where her pictures will go-- I can't wait to see her and get them taken and made for the wall. The Bedding I made-- The quilt is still not complete-- I have to finish the corners and honestly it will take me like 10 min I am just lazy... But I went and got this fabric the week I found out she was a little girl so this bedding has been a long time coming.......I will take more close-ups of the quilt and bedding later.......

I have had 4 showers and got a lot of cute things as well. My mom and friends still have the pics and I don't have them yet so I will blog about that when I get them. I am so excited for her to get here... I am due on Tuesday and am completely nothing! No Contractions or anything so my doc will induce me on the 12th if I haven't had her by then so 1 week at the most! Wish me luck....... :)

I know I know I pretty much stopped blogging when I thought I would want to blog most! I am so happy I am finally able to have a baby I think I felt that if I talked/blogged about it alot that I would jinx it or something! Anyway, I still am paranoid but the further along I go I feel better and better and can "plan" on it! But yes right now I am 24 weeks along(well as of tomorrow) and I feel great right now, although I do have a bit of insomnia but I guess I am just getting ready!!As for the first trimester I did hurl quite a bit and became a "recluse" according to my friends but its all worth it! I can't wait for Siena to get here only 16 more weeks! We have not really done much with the nursery because we are wanting to move but no one will buy my house so we may still be here..... I told Rob as of May 1 if we don't have any good prospects on the house I am doing the nursery-- so we will see what happens. Other than that things are going really well just working and trying to enjoy every bit of pregnancy- even the crappy stuff! I have one pic of me at 20 or 21 weeks and I look fat but I cant diet now!!! I started to feel her move the day I was 21 weeks-- it was kind of late and trust me I was freaking out but I went to the doc and heard her heart beat so that reassured me that we were in the clear! Now she moves around like its her job!! She is quite the active little girl and I LOVE it, especially when she kicks my bladder! Let me tell you its great! Lol!!! Rob hasn't been able to feel her kick yet but hopefully soon!
So, needless to say I will try and be better at blogging from now on.....

In my ward we dont seem to have the fun enrichment nights where we make the "utah crafts" I know many make fun but I am sad we dont have them! I know, I know I have been called "country" even though I am not and yes I do know I have a rooster in my kitchen but I promise I am not but I do like these cute crafty things for Holidays..... so my friends from my neighborhood got together and had our own enrichment night and made these CUTE christmas crafts! We had so much fun and I LOVE mine I cant wait for christmas now!

Since the whole children thig isnt working out too well for Rob and I we decided to add to our family in another way-- This one has been way less expensive and really fun! Most of you who live close by know cause we have had her for 2+ months now but we got a dog!Her name is vesper and she is a German Shepherd. Seeing as I am just posting this now reminds me of how I need to do a Summer of '09 post and talk about all the fun we've had this summer but we went up in the canyons with Rob's family and got this "new" family picture taken and I wanted to share. Do not mind the Hams in the picture you may mistake for my arms-- (I am also realizing I need to work out a bit more :()

So this morning she called me to go on a shopping spree and teach me her ways..... Bella's trip to The Aquarium

This was a while ago but I was on a blogging hiatus so I never posted about it but I was looking through my pictures and I wanted to have this in my blog to remember. Back about a week before Maddie was born Alex brought Bella into The Aquarium so we could show her all the turtles,snakes,lizards and FISH! Bella is a little girl who LOVES animals she always wants to go outside and look for "bichos" (bugs in spanish) so I thought she'd love to come in and get a hands on expierence at The Aquarium.

One thing that I think is so funny is Bella is in love with the movie Tinkerbell. There is a part on it where there is a mouse and Alex always says "EWW" so now everytime Bella sees a mouse on tv she yells out, "look at the Ewws" so every time she comes into the Aquarium she has to go see "the Eww's" AKA the feeder mice for all the snakes and stuff-- There were no pics taken of that cause it takes a lot to get me to even walk into that room let alone pose for a picture.

My cousin,Florencia, in Argentina had a baby back in March right after little Madeleine was born. I wanted to do something for my family that I never get to see Although I have met Florencia once. It was probably colse to 10 years ago she came to Utah to visit and stayed with us. I had so much fun with her even though our communication was little to NONE!! She speaks spanish and all of you that know anything about me know that I do not speak spainish at all even though I had 2 years of it in school not to mention my mother speaking spanish fluently my whole life(I know I am LAME!!!) I have so many fun memories with her and feel a connection with her even though we dont talk much. SO back to what I was originally posting about..... I made her little girl Martina a quilt and sent it out this week. I LOVED how this quilt turned out and hope they both like it!

SWOSS Trip

A few weeks ago my girlfriends from high school and I got together for a girls trip down in St. George. We haven't all been together for this long since the good old High School Days and since our 10 year reunion was coming up we decided it was definitely time! It was such a great weekend that we spent talking and shopping with your best friends(what could be better than that)I have been friends with these girls since I was a little girl and have SO many memories with each of them. I really think an anual trip is definitely in need and cannot wait to do it again!

Mini Vacation to St. George

My friends and I were able to go to St. George for the weekend a couple of weeks ago and it was a much needed little getaway even if it was just for a couple of days! We were able to stay at my friend Kelli's house and had such a great time. From going to see Seventeen Again(Paige has a slight obsession with Zac Effron) and just shopping and getting pedi's! Leslie's husband Joe came with us so Rob wasn't forced to hang out doing girly stuff all weekend.

I haven't blogged for a while cause there is not much going on. Still working on the baby bedding and working. Thats about it. My sister is due with my new little niece in 2 days!! I am so excited to meet her and get to have a baby to play with all over again. I just LOVE my niece Isabella and can't imagine having another one like her so I cant wait to see it actually happen! She is due on Sunday but if she does not have her will be induced on Wednesday! So Hopefully sooner than later we will be meeting my new little niece who has yet to be named.

Alysha's Baby Shower

Alysha is my good friend from the good old college days down in Cedar City. She is due with her first little girl in the end of March. I wanted to make her something really cute and lately I have been living at a little Fabric shop in South Jordan called Material Girls. (Namely the reason for not blogging) I have developed a new hobby and may I say I am LOVING it! Rob certainly is not since he got our AMEX bill but I am having fun and thats what counts isnt it?!! Anyway back to Alysha-- We were invited to her baby shower a couple of weeks ago and I ended up making her the cutest little sleep sac, some burp cloths,and a travel diaper and wipe case. I am not trying to brag or anything and I am sure there are a million people who can do this with their eyes closed but I am so proud of what I made!

I am also in the middle of making the baby bedding for my sisters baby that is due at the end of March as well so I am turning into a little seamstress-- well that might be being too generous but I am having fun! I will post more of my finished projects when I am done with them!

Girls Night and Cafe Rio

My Friends and I got together this month and decided to make home made cafe rio salads! They weren't an exact match but pretty darn close and delicious none the less- Everyone was anti picture that night so I got some of the yummy salads instead! Also here is the recipe's we used if you want to try......

SWEET PORK

2 pounds pork
3 cans Coke (NOT diet)
1/4 c. brown sugar
dash garlic salt
1/4 c. water
1 can sliced green chilies
3/4 can enchilada sauce (I used Old El Paso brand, medium spiciness)
1 c. brown sugar

Put the pork in a heavy duty Ziploc bag to marinade. Add about a can and a half of coke and about 1/4 c. of brown sugar. Marinade for a few hours or overnight.

Drain marinade and put pork, 1/2 can of coke, water, and garlic salt in crock pot on high for about 3-4 hours (or until it shreds easily, but don't let it get TOO dry). Remove pork from crock pot and drain any liquid left in the pot. Shred pork.

In a food processor or blender, blend 1/2 can Coke, chilies, enchilada sauce and remaining brown sugar (about a cup, you can add a little more or less to taste..). If it looks too thick, add more Coke little by little.

Put shredded pork and sauce in crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours. That's it!

CILANTRO-LIME RICE

1 c. uncooked rice
1 tsp. butter or margarine
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
1 can (15 oz) chicken broth
1 cup water
1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tsp. sugar
3 tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro

In a saucepan combine rice, butter, garlic, 1 tsp. lime, chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook on low 15-20 minutes, until rice is tender. Remove from heat. In a small bowl combine lime juice, sugar and cilantro. Pour over hot cooked rice and mix in as you fluff the rice.

BLACK BEANS

2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 1/3 c. tomato juice
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. fresh chopped cilantro

In a nonstick skillet, cook garlic and cumin in olive oil over medium heat until you can smell it. Add beans, tomato juice, and salt. Continually stir until heated through. Just before serving stir in the cilantro. (**NOTE** we added a can of corn, drained, to the beans with a dash of cumin and chili powder, it was AWESOME! We recommend doing this even though it's not "traditional Cafe Rio")

CILANTRO RANCH

1 packet TRADITIONAL Hidden Valley Ranch mix (not BUTTERMILK)
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. buttermilk
2 tomatillos, remove husk, diced
1/2 bunch of fresh cilantro
1 clove garlic
juice of 1 lime
1 jalapeno (we like it SPICY so we kept the seeds in it, if you like it mild, just remove the seeds)

Mix all ingredients together in the blender. That's it!

For Valentines Day this year we chose to stay in and Save $$. We always spend so much money on our anniversay that when Valentines comes around the guilt has setteled in and we go cheap! This year we wanted to go really cheap and not do gifts but Rob still sent me roses at work! SO my gift to him was dinner! I made one of his favorites, Chicken and Ravioli. The first time I made this for Rob was right after we were first married and I disticntly remember him telling me he never knew ravioli's came in another way besides the can! I laughed so hard and ever since then this has been one of his favorite meals. Although we didnt so much on Valentines we had a great day!

Today is Rob and My 4 year Anniversary! 4 years ago today we were married in the Salt Lake Temple and had a wonderful reception at Heritage Gardens! With such good food!! Of course thats the thing I remember!! I can't believe its already been four years it has gone by so fast but at the same time I feel like we've been together forever!Rob is such a great husband and I am so grateful to have him! I am so happy with him and feel so lucky to go through life with him!

For our Anniversary this year Rob surprised me with a weekend getaway up in Salt Lake. We spent the weekend shopping and seeing movies what we both LOVE! He also surprised me with the best gift a new setting for my ring! I am in LOVE with my "new" ring! It is beautiful! Rob you are so good to me I hope you know how much I love you!

So I went and saw Twilight along with the rest of the Girls and my first impression was I LOVE it and I Hate it! I was so excited to see it and still thought it was good but there were a few things that bugged me! I hated how they changed the storyline so much. I knew they had to but I had that book in my mind so any change bothered me! I hated how Edward and Bella fell in love in 1 day! They should have made that part longer, and finally they need to spend more $$$ If they can make a SAW VI (not that I've seen them just the fact that they spend $ on such stupidity) then why couldn't this have a little more put into it. I think it would have been a lot better with a bigger budget!-- now for the second time seeing it -- OH I am in love! I LOVED it! and I want to go see it again! The things that I didnt like about it are still true but its so good I dont even think about them anymore! Cant wait for New Moon!

Maui...

We got home from Maui on Monday and my week has been so busy I haven't been able to post about the rest of the trip. We were there for 2 weeks total and did a lot in that amount of time! I got to see most of the things I wanted to but never did on this trip. After our Dive to Hana we were at the beach most of the time. We got to go snorkeling a couple of times and drive up to Haleakala, the dormant volcano which is like 10,000 feet abouve sea level. It was a georgeous drive up the moountain and looking into the volcano was AWESOME!! I will put pictures in the slide show but it does not even compare to the sight of this in real life! On our way home Rob and I stopped in Honolulu and spent a night there and were able to go to Waikiki Beach and to see Pearl Harbor. I will admit Maui is more of my kind of Hawaii than Honolulu is, I felt like I was in California. Not that its bad there but it doesnt compare to Maui but I am really glad we were able to go see it and able to see Pearl Harbor. That was an awesome thing to see and sad at the same time! Yes I am blogging on vacation but I love to blog and I actually have time to do it here so here we go! We have only been here 3 days but I am already getting into the "why do I ever have to leave" mode!! The first two days Rob and I went to our favorite beach in the whole world, Makena Beach, also known as Big Beach! We spent the entire two days laying out and playing in the water! Makena is famous for their waves crashing really close to the shore line so it makes for a very exciting adventure every wave that crashes on the shore! I was bad and did not take very many pictures of us laying out but here is a BEAUTIFUL one of our "laying out" view!

Next was today-- I have never been to Hana or experienced the "road to Hana" on all my trips here! There always seemed to be a problem preventing us from going. One year there was an earthquake a few days befor we got here and the bridge was out the next time was something else-- Anyway this trip we decided it was a must that we go and try this out! Now all said and done it was totally worth it but I had NO CLUE how long this drive was-- so not expecting this it was a little tiresome! Its about 3 hours each way winding back and forth on a narrow road all the way across the island. It is a rain forest so it is SO beautiful and green and with this amazing ocean in the background the views are awesome. I did get car sick going up and back but not too sick I could not believe how windy the road is! Up at the top are the seven sacred pools which I kept on saying the seven deadly pools ( I dont know something kept making me think of the seven deadly sins....I know I am a dork) this was really fun and beautiful to see. Of course Doug and Rob had to push the limits and go out as far as they could while I sat back freaking out that they would slip and fall into the ocean--(LBH It wouldnt be a trip without me being scared of something!!) Then when we were leaving we found this hill that lead to a beautiful view of the cliff and ocean below. Look for yourself and let me tell you it is about a million times better in person!! That is our trip 3 days into it! Cant wait for more!See you all when we get home!!

Last week my friends go together to decorate pumpkins!!We navigated away from the usual carving of the pumpkins and painted them! It was a fun night to spend with my friends-- They always make it a great time.

It seems that we are having to say goodbye to everyone right now. Rob's parents have been called to serve a mission in North Carolina and are leaving on September 15. They will be gone for 1 year and although we are so happy for them we are going to miss them!. We had a family dinner to celebrate and say goodbye. This last weekend I was able to get together with some of my best friends! I have known these girls since we were little and we were best friends all through high school and are still close. Karrie, Krissy, Mandy and Missy were able to come visit from out of state and gave us a great reason to have a BBQ! I look up to these girls so much and learn so much from them. Some of them have gone through some of the hardest things that anyone can imagine and they are still so strong and amazing! I always have felt so lucky to have them as friends! We spent the night eating and reminiscing on old times-- I will admit I was embarassed a time or two... there were old home videos present... I'll just say a video of a high school girls trip to Deer Valley and a Britney Spears CD.... no need to say anymore :)

My friend Suzie is a "jetter" yes, that is Jet Blue lingo for employee and she was able to get us all tickets to San Deigo. We were supposed to go to Puerto Rico but because of a tropical storm we were re routed to San Diego and it did not dissapoint:) It was a much needed Girls Trip where we had so much fun!We stayed in La Jolla and was just there for an extended weekend but it was so nice and relaxing. here are a few pics from our trip. This year was an "interesting" Birthday. It was a great day that I spent with my friend Alysha shopping,getting pedicures and having a good time. Trying to forget the fact that I am 27:( AHHH-- way too old! Later on that night Rob came home and took me to my favorite place in the world,The Melting Pot which was so very delicious :) The bright girl that I am did not take one picture on my birthday so I ony have my memory to account for it. My wonderful friends had planned to take me to....
the next night but unfortunately I was rushed into emergency Surgery that night to remove an Ectopic pregnancy that I had. So the Birthday didn't end too well. I feel weird just rushing over the fact that I had this but I dont really want to go on and on about what happened and how I'm feeling etc so sorry but I am just going to pass over this :)Things are good now and getting better day by day. This, along with a lot of other things are the main reason for my lack of Blogging so I am back now:)The night at The Cheesecake Factory was postponned,sadly because of the reschedule some were not able to make it but it was a success none the less and I did remember to bring my camera that night :) So here are a few pictures of the night. So sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. I have been so busy with so much going on I have neglected my blogging and cleaning my house so its not just this :). This month has been busy and stressful but everything is good. It feels like I haven't blogged forever. I dont know why but I havent so I will do a quick update of our lives these past few weeks! Now that I think about it I have a boring life and not much to blog about. No children to write about the funny things they do its just Rob and I and let me tell you how much fun work has been!!! Our good friends Alysha and John hang out with us a lot and we have a great time with them. We went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy to do something different from the old dinner and a movie and I wasn't to impressed-- It was a fun night with my friends and that was great! It was also my Brother in law Doug's Birthday!! He is the big 29!!! And yet another night with Alysha and John... we went to one of Rob and my favorite restaurants, the Timbermine in Ogden of all places.... It is worth the trip up there! Then we got to go see Iron Man-- See we venture out to The Living Planet Aquarium and the next week its back to dinner and a movie but its always a fun night with them!!

Every once in awile my friends get the crafty bug in us and need to have a craft day with the talented Wendy Phippen! She is absoultely amazing at all kinds of crafts and puts up with us "sub par crafters." Every time we get done with a day with Wendy I have this bug that wishes and hopes that I can become like that one day. This Saturday we had the privilidge of making these cute vintage aprons. They all turned out so cute and I was so excited for this I even bought fabric to do 2 aprons. Lealie and Joe got tickets to the Grizzlies Game last night. They were kind enough to ask us to go with! We started out with dinner at Ruby Tuesdays where we all had Steaks and then procedded to the Game. It was so much fun! I had been to a few games in the past but we had pretty good seats so it was a lot easier to get into the game! We ended up loosing 6 to 5 but was still a good game. Leslie and My favorie parts were when the hockey players got into fights. It was so fun to watch them!

13. Who is stubborn? We are both insanely stubborn. We argue who would turn off the light at night and it seriously will stay on for hours if we are both in our stubborn mood.I won't cave just cause I know he is just waiting for me to do it.... its the principal!

15. Who's parents do you see the most? Rob's parents and my dad are a tie. We don't see My mom or Don very often since they live in Maui, but we love to go visit them!!!

Fondue Re-Do

I know I havent blogged in quite some time so here was a great event to blog about! We have a monthly (on a good month) girls night where my girls and I get together. This month was a Fondue night that was supposed to take place the night of the huge snow storm a couple weeks back. Needless to say that night it didn't happen so tonight was the Fondue Re-do :) We had a great time with all the girls minus Alysha, she had to get grades in for her class and could not make it:( Thanks to Kjirsten we had a marvelous fondue with 2 different cheese fondues and of course the chocolate dessert Fondue! Then the night got even better thanks to Paige (LBH we all know its thanks to her hubby Ryan for purchasing the DVD's) We got to watch re-runs of one of the best childhood shows ever made, yes it is Saved by the Bell!! Hello All
So this morning when I got up and all the snow was falling a number of thoughts rushed through my mind."Oh how pretty!! to "UGH! That won’t be fun driving in! and also an "I hope my snow removal people come soon." But of course Rob had to end up clearing off our driveway. We hurried and got ready for church and went and then came home and Rob asked me if I'd go home teaching with him. So we drive to our neighbors house, they have not cleared their driveway so there is about 3 ft of snow on it so Rob and I park on the side of the road. We are in visiting with our neighbors and I look out the window to see our car being TOWED! I B lined it out to the road and start chasing the tow truck. He finally stops and begins arguing with me about the stupid rules our ridiculous HOA company has(Thus why I am banning community solutions).Then Rob comes out and they start arguing. The tow guy will not give us a break. Rob could then see that I was beginning to really lose my patience and told me to go get our wallet so we could pay this guy and get our car. As I went running home(remember I am in a skirt and 4" heels) I fall flat on my face ripping my skirt right up the back.(but of course I didn't notice at this time)I got up and ran to my house and got my wallet and LBH who has $130 in cash. Well I don’t so then I have to run to the gas Station to the ATM to get cash out(this is when I realize my bum is hanging out of my skirt) all the while Rob is yelling at the Tow Truck man. All in all I ended up paying $132.00, a cute black skirt, bodily injury to myself (scraped knee and hand), and giving everyone at The Maverick a show to go home teaching.
Needless to say my day was not too great, Thanks Community Solutions you are WONDERFUL!

Where did January go?

I can't believe January is almost over it went by so fast!I The beginning of the month started out no fun at all. Rob and I both got really sick. I know it was going around but I don't think I have ever been that sick before so I was so very happy when we got better! Then SUNDANCE of course! Now I don't really go to see the movies but just for a chance to see Brad Pitt or Colin Ferrell but then for some reason when I was planning my wedding 3 years ago I decided to get married the very weekend Sundance takes place. What was I thinking????? So this year Rob and I went and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Midway! We had dinner at Ruth's Chris in Park City (yes I did have my camera available in case I was lucky enough to have Jennifer Aniston sit at the table next to me) But LBH people would I ever be that lucky???

We were also able to go visit my cute Grandma and Grandpa Ryan. We went to lunch with them and then just visited with them at their house.I am so happy they live somewhat close that we can go visit with them.

And last but not least I just had to take a picture of my angel of a husband scraping the snow off of my car for me in one of the many snow storms we have had. I usually get the garage and I'll be honest I dont think I have ever cleaned off his car for him. This picture is mostly for Mom and Don(if he ever looks at our blog) so they can see all the wonderful weather they are missing by being in the 80 degree Hawaiian sun all the time. I know they miss this!

Happy New Year!! I can't believe it is already '08. Rob and I had a great year in '07 getting to travel a lot and Rob got a new job that he loves! We are so grateful for all of our blessings we received last year and are excited to see what 2008 has to bring us (baby, baby, baby :)) Rob and I had a get together with some of our friends to bring in the New Year! Here are a few pics!

Hey All
I know it is really late to be posting about Germany but It is taking a long time to get my pics back, I still have half of them so I decided to post those :) If I ever get the rest of them I will definitely update this post:) Germany was such an amazing place to go. So much history and so beautiful. We were able to go to the Neueschweinstein Castle (The Disneyland Castle), to see the Berlin Wall and the city of Berlin, the Financial district of Frankfurt,The Kolon Cathedral,many other Castles, and The Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp, where Anne Frank died. There was so much more I could go on for days and days and I am so happy I was able to go have this experience! Here are a few of the picture highlights that I still have and hopefully I will get the rest of them back soon!

We are back from Germany and it was AMAZING. I am not that smart with computers and may have accidentally deleted all our pics AHHHH! I was/am so very mad. Thankfully my brother in law knows EVERYTHING there is to know about computers so I am praying he can work his magic and retrieve them for me. (and to all of you who are thinking "just look in your recycle bin" I have already done that and they aren't there either????)So I will have to post pictures later if I can find them and tell you more about our trip. This was the funniest story! Olivia who is 2, was playing in Bella's room and found the Balmex(cream for Diaper rash for those who don't know) I guess she felt that Bella's Cabbage Patch Doll Callie really had a bad diaper rash so she put the cream all over her bum! She walked out Cream and Doll in hand! It was so funny, we had to get a picture!

Canada

Rob was able to go to Canada in the end of September for work. LBH he got to go around the city a bit as well. He went up on The Capilano Suspension Bridge that looks awesome but a little scary if your afraid of heights! Here are a few pics of the beautiful scenery,I wish I would have gone now!!

Bella's 1st Birthday

This is my ADORABLE niece Isabella. It was her 1st birthday on September 15. We had a Hawaiian Luau for her and it was so much fun. She is the cutest little girl ever and is so much fun! My parents were able to come out for the party so it was good to see them. This is a picture of her with her mom and dad, Alex and Greg, and another one so all of you to see how cute Bella is!!

Chicago 2007

Rob and I were able to go to Chicago this last month!! It was so much fun being there for a week. We were able to go sight seeing, shopping and go to a Bears game and a Cubs game and to go see Wicked! That was my highlight!! Rob served his mission there so we were able to visit some of his old areas and even see some of the members he babtized. It was a great trip and nice vacation.
